All You Need to Know

Park Restrictions and Safety Information

Be sure to observe all safety signs at the park. Unsafe behaviour may result in expulsion from the park or serious/fatal injury.

While at the Park:

  • Stay on the designated trails and walkways.
  • Walkways may be slippery when wet.
  • Parents/guardians must supervise those under their care.
  • Children and youth under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a person 18+
  • Do not retrieve dropped items. Notify Park staff.
  • No smoking or e-cigarettes.
  • We reserve the right to revoke tickets, refuse admission, or dismiss any person whose conduct management deems to be drunk, disorderly, under the influence of drugs, or non-compliant with the venue's policies, rules, or regulations, without compensation or refund.
  • Park tickets are not for resale. Unapproved third party reseller tickets will not be accepted
  • Please note: A verification check (ID check) will be conducted by our team to ensure all required fields are completed and accurate before entry
  • For your safety, the Park is monitored by video surveillance.
  • Drones are not permitted in the Park.
  • Rates are subject to GST and are quoted in Canadian funds. Rates are subject to change.

On the Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk:

  • Hold small children by the hand.
  • No running, jumping or intentionally shaking the bridges.
  • No strollers, or crutches.
  • Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk are not wheelchair accessible.
  • Babies should be carried below the level of the railing or in a purpose-designed child-carrying device. No shoulder carriers are permitted.

Pet Policy:

Permitted Animals

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Park. All dogs must remain securely leashed and under your full owner control at all times. Please supervise your dog closely, clean up after them promptly and avoid interactions with other dogs or guests. Note that some park attractions may be narrow, crowded, or include motion, and may not be suitable for every dog. Please consider whether this experience is right for your dog.

Respect for All Guests

We understand that some visitors may be uncomfortable around dogs. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, keep your dog close, maintain control, and prevent them from approaching other guests. Be especially mindful of personal space in busy or confined areas.

Other Pets

Please leave cats, rabbits, birds and all other pets at home. Only dogs are permitted in the Park.

Restricted Areas

Dogs are not allowed in the Raptors Ridge area when birds are on-site due to safety.

Non-Compliance

Guests who do not follow this pet policy may be asked to leave the Park to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and animals.

Yes, we recommend purchasing timed-entry tickets online to avoid lineups and secure your preferred visit time. Important! There are a limited number of Annual Pass reservations available per hour during peak event times. BC Annual Passholders must reserve their time online before visiting the Park. Book early to avoid missing out!

Yes. BC residents can upgrade to a BC Annual Pass, which includes unlimited admission for a full year plus discounts on dining, retail, and seasonal events. Please email info@capilanobridge.com and our team can assist with upgrading your ticket. Restrictions apply.

Yes, passholders must book a timed entry before arrival, especially during holidays and events. There are a limited number of Annual Pass reservations available per hour during peak event times. Book early to avoid missing out!

Most guests spend about two to three hours here. Long enough to cross the bridge, wander the forest trails, and pause for photos.

It's always a great time to visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park! We are open every day of the year except December 25th. If you are looking for a quieter period to visit, the Park is generally less busy in the early morning and late afternoons.

Planning Your Visit

The suspension bridge is 450 feet long and can take anywhere from 5 – 15 minutes to cross, however, the whole Park takes an average of 2 – 2.5 hours to explore.

There is a total of 1.8 kilometres of paved stone paths and boardwalks in the Park. The average length to walk the Park is 2 – 2.25 hours. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Guests are welcome to stay in the Park an additional hour after the posted closing time. Please click the link to see the attraction closing times within the Park.

Yes, our park guides share stories, history, and nature through daily interpretive talks.

All food venues are located inside the Park. Guests visiting the Park are welcome to enjoy dining at these venues after their timed entry.

Small snacks and water are welcome, but full picnics are best enjoyed offsite.

Accessibility & Mobility

Suspension Bridge: Access to the bridge involves steps. The bridge and steps move and sway as visitors walk, which may challenge those with limited mobility. Treetops Adventure: Includes climbing up and down stairs and walking on suspended bridges between tree platforms. These bridges do move slightly, which may affect individuals with limited mobility. Cliffwalk: Cliffwalk includes numerous steps up and down. The attraction does not sway or wobble. Nature's Edge Boardwalk: Includes numerous steps up and down. Trails on the far side of the suspension bridge: Most trails are wooden boardwalks, along with a gravel trail that may have some uneven areas. Access to the washrooms on this side of the bridge is found along the gravel trail and does include some steps.

The Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk are not wheelchair accessible. However, guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids receive complimentary admission and can enjoy accessible areas including the Story Centre, Kia'palano, shops, and restaurants.

Strollers are not permitted on the attractions, but there is a designated area for stroller parking. Babies should be carried below railing level or in a purpose-designed child-carrying device (no shoulder carriers permitted).
